TerpTalk AI LLC ("TerpTalk," "we," "our," or "us") operates an AI-powered product discovery and recommendation assistant deployed on cannabis dispensary websites. This Privacy Policy explains what information we process when users interact with the TerpTalk assistant, how that information is used, and the choices available to users.

By using TerpTalk, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

2. Information We Collect

TerpTalk does not intentionally collect direct personal information from end users through the recommendation assistant. We do not request or store your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, payment information, or government-issued identification.

In the course of operating the service, we may process the following categories of non-personal data:

• Preference selections: Responses to preference questions within the assistant, such as desired effects, flavor preferences, consumption method, strength level, and price range. These inputs are used solely to generate product recommendations and are not linked to any identified individual.
• Technical and usage data: Limited technical information necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the service. This may include general interaction data, session information, and diagnostic data processed at the system level and not used to identify individual users.

TerpTalk is embedded on dispensary websites. Any information collected by the dispensary's own website, platform, or tools is governed by that dispensary's separate privacy policy and is outside the scope of this document.

3. How We Use Information

The non-personal data we process is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Generating accurate, relevant product recommendations from the dispensary's live menu based on user-provided preferences
• Operating, maintaining, and ensuring the reliability and security of the TerpTalk service
• Diagnosing technical issues and improving the performance and accuracy of the recommendation system
• Complying with applicable legal obligations

We do not use preference data or interaction data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering the TerpTalk service.

4. What We Do Not Do

We believe in being direct about our data practices. TerpTalk does not:

• Sell personal information to third parties
• Intentionally collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or government ID from end users
• Use interaction data to build individual user profiles for advertising or marketing purposes
• Share user preference selections with parties unrelated to operating the service
• Use data collected through TerpTalk for purposes beyond those described in this policy

5. Service Providers and Infrastructure

TerpTalk relies on trusted third-party service providers to operate the service. These providers may include hosting platforms, database infrastructure, workflow automation tools, analytics services, and AI processing services. Each provider is engaged under appropriate agreements and is permitted to process data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that our service providers maintain appropriate security and confidentiality standards consistent with this policy.

6. Data Sharing

TerpTalk does not sell, rent, or trade user data. We may share non-personal data in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: With third-party vendors who assist in operating the TerpTalk service, as described in Section 5.
• Dispensary partners: Aggregate, non-identifiable usage data may be shared with the dispensary operating the TerpTalk integration for service improvement and reporting purposes.
• Legal requirements: If required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, we may disclose information as necessary to comply.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our business, data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before any such transfer and before data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

7. Data Retention

Preference selections and interaction data are retained only as long as necessary to deliver the service and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Technical and operational data is retained for a period consistent with business, security, and legal requirements.

Because TerpTalk does not collect identified personal information from end users, there is no personal data deletion request process at this time. If future features introduce personal data collection, this section will be updated with applicable retention periods and deletion rights.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

TerpTalk is an embedded assistant that operates within dispensary websites. We may use session-level cookies or similar technologies to maintain the state of an interaction within a single browsing session. These are functional in nature and are not used for tracking, advertising, or cross-site profiling.

Any cookies or tracking technologies deployed by the dispensary's own website are governed by that dispensary's cookie policy, which is separate from this document.

9. Security

We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the data we process against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include secure infrastructure, access controls, and encrypted data transmission where applicable.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data incident, we will take prompt action consistent with applicable legal requirements.

10. Age-Restricted Products

TerpTalk is designed for use in connection with licensed cannabis dispensaries and age-restricted cannabis products. The service is intended solely for use by individuals who are of legal age to purchase cannabis products in their applicable jurisdiction.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
